A fourth unexploded bomb was found on Essex’s coastline this week after three were discovered a couple of miles away.
A member of the public picked up the possible WWII anti-aircraft shell before realising what it might be. After safely detonating three World War bombs last week in Leigh-on-Sea, the army was called in again this week after another was found in Southend. The bomb was discovered when a member of the public accidentally picked up a suspected ordnance while trespassing on the Ministry of Defence controlled area of beach in Southend.
