North Korea’s state media outlet, the Korean Central News Agency, reported on the 13th that a welcome ceremony for the “528th Engineer Regiment,” which was dispatched to Kursk Oblast, Russia, to remove mines and has since returned home, was held the previous day at the plaza of the April 25 Cultural Hall in Pyongyang.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un stated at the welcome ceremony that thanks to their efforts, “a vast area of hazardous zones could be transformed into safe zones in a short period of less than three months.”
