The Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Baghdad, Maximilian Rasch, said, in a speech during the launching ceremony of the National Strategic Plan for Mine Action, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "His country has been and remains an active contributor to mine clearance efforts in many areas in Iraq."
Indicating that, "his country began in 2016 financing and implementing mine clearance projects with more than $100 million in Iraq only." He added, "The mine-clearing process needs relentless efforts and continuous work, and during the past years many of it have been removed," pointing out, "Mine-clearing is very important for Iraq."
