Cambodia Mine Action Centre and the Japan International Cooperation Agency have concluded a senior leadership training programme for mine action officials from Ethiopia, Nigeria, Somalia and South Sudan, highlighting Cambodia’s transformation from a mine-affected nation into a provider of expertise and technical assistance to the international community.
The Director-General of the Cambodia Mine Action Centre (CMAC), together with Eri Komukai, Senior Advisor to the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Tokyo, and Major General Tadesse Amelo Sieso, Director of Mine Action in Ethiopia, presided over the closing ceremony of the “Senior Leadership Skills in Mine Action Management” training course, jointly organised by CMAC, JICA and the Japanese Expert Team (JET).
