The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) has deployed additional technical measures by equipping heavy machinery with magnetic absorption systems and enhanced operator safety protection to improve security during operations to clear cluster munitions left from Thailand’s military actions.
According to Heng Ratana, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge and Director General of CMAC, posted on his social media yesterday, the new approach was developed through research and technological innovation to strengthen safety in operations when removing cluster munitions, which are remnants of war.
