Yemen: Child Killed, Another Injured in Landmine Explosion Northeast of Sana’a


A 15-year-old boy was killed and another seriously injured in a landmine explosion in Nihm district, northeast of Yemen’s capital Sana’a, underscoring the persistent dangers posed by mines in rural areas.

Human Rights Witness said in a statement Wednesday that Adam Ali al-Qallam (15) died instantly, while 13-year-old Ali Ali Juzailan lost part of his leg below the knee after stepping on a landmine in the al-Ataybi area near al-Naimat village.
