A bomb was found on a beach in Devon, sparking a huge emergency operation. The Royal Navy, HM Coastguard, and Police officers rushed to Slapton Sands, where a suspected device had been reported near Slapton Memorial car park.
The ordnance was reported at around 8.45am on Wednesday October 29. The device was found by Coastguard Rescue Officers from Dartmouth who, after assessing the object, called for the Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team (EOD).
