The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) welcomed a high-level delegation from Nigeria, led by Mohammed Goni Alkali, Managing Director/CEO of the North-Eastern Development Commission, for a working visit aimed at learning from Cambodia’s post-conflict recovery, peacebuilding efforts, and internationally recognized mine clearance programs.
Facilitated by the Japanese government through JICA, the visit highlights growing international cooperation in humanitarian demining, with Nigeria and four other African nations seeking to apply Cambodia’s experience to their own post-conflict development.
